Local Climate Action Plan of the City of Recife

The Recife Climate Action Plan aims to accelerate decarbonisation and increase the city's adaptation to climate change in the areas of energy, sanitation, mobility and resilience. These objectives are defined through workshops and debates with municipal stakeholders, key shareholders and civil society. The roadmap is based on three pillars: climate justice oriented towards community participation, empowerment and cooperation; nature-based solutions to protect, restore and manage ecosystems and city resilience; and green and sustainable economy.
